LTTA IN Valencia started just yesterday, but we already feel like home.
Warm welcoming and emotional getting to know each other prepared the ground for sharing and discussing topics important for each of us. Everyone arrived to Valencia with different experience to exchange, expectations and hopes. Support and acceptance given by each single person to the group build strong relation and common understanding but also boosted our team work and helped us reaching the goal of the day.
Today, in international groups we shared our country profiles and local realities when it comes to LGBTQIA+ inclusion and acceptance which was the begining of deeper discussion in the context of three target groups: Local Municipalities, Youth Councils and LGBTQIA+ Community/Associations.
We explored 3 levels:
- Level 1- bottom performing tier characterised by below-average performance regarding both level of legal LGBTI-inclusivity and progress in legal LGBTI-inclusivity since 1999 ( related to Poland)
- Level 2- middle performing tier characterised by trends that suggest position relative to OECD avarage may change in the near future (related to Italy)
- Level 3- top performing tier characterised by above-average performance regarding both level of LGBTI-inclusivity as of 2019 and progress in legal LGBTI-inclusivity since 1999 (related to Spain and the Netherlands)
Afternoon was devoted to creation of the practical proposals of methods and paths in order to reach the target groups with our activities. We came up with many reflections and ideas, received feedback from others, verified if the road maps are meeting our capacity and local reality.
